Just as the "Africonnection" wants to connect Americans with Africans, Kenyans like America and things American. In a recent Newsweek article which ranked countries in terms of their favorable perceptions about America, Kenya ranked in the top three with a 74% favorable rating. National Public Radio indicated that American country music from the 1970's and 80's is very popular, with Kenny Rogers a particular favorite.
